Product rating. PLN1510 ploe saw
Bought this at Tractor Supply. Great buy for the money. Used a friends Remington pole saw for a few days before I bought this one. Didn't really care for it, not made as well as the Poulan. No issues with it so far. I feel i got my money's worth. If you read the instructions, and use common sense you'll have no problems putting it together, or using it. Be safe.

The saw melted the piece that the gear attaches to, and they don't sell the part. They only sell the gear.

poulan electric tree pruner
This is the worst piece of equipment I have tried to put together and it is a poor performer. Unfortunately I did not attempt its use when I received it during the winter. I first used it last week in June and it performed extremely poor. In attempting to put it together it appears it is not designed properly.

This saw is great, I only found 1 thing wrong. NOONE carries new chains for it.

Good Saw for Light Pruning
Saw performed well. Given it is a pole saw it was easy to handle. I did not experience the problems of adjusting the extension pole that other reviewers reported. While Poulan claims that the saw can be used as a standalone chainsaw, it would be very inconvenient to detach and re-attach the saw.

Heavier than I thought
Does the job, but heavier than I thought it would be. Also difficult to unlock the extension pole without having to use pliers or a wrench even after only hand tightening. Not sure what the spring loaded extension pole is about - just seems to make it more difficult to deal with when wanting to extend the pole.

I like it. It takes a bit of getting used to, as with any pole saw. At maximum reach, it's a big gingerly. But it cuts smoothly, handles easily at 6-8 feet, and is great for branch trimming.

Saw works very well. Very difficult to attach to pole and need tools to remove from pole, very annoying. A spring in the pole keeps trying to retract the pole to a shorter length. Also saw tends to twist as friction lock is not sufficient to prevent this. Must store upside down or oil leaks out.
