Heavier than I thought
Does the job, but heavier than I thought it would be. Also difficult to unlock the extension pole without having to use pliers or a wrench even after only hand tightening. Not sure what the spring loaded extension pole is about - just seems to make it more difficult to deal with when wanting to extend the pole.

I like it. It takes a bit of getting used to, as with any pole saw. At maximum reach, it's a big gingerly. But it cuts smoothly, handles easily at 6-8 feet, and is great for branch trimming.

Saw works very well. Very difficult to attach to pole and need tools to remove from pole, very annoying. A spring in the pole keeps trying to retract the pole to a shorter length. Also saw tends to twist as friction lock is not sufficient to prevent this. Must store upside down or oil leaks out.

The instructions were not clear on mounting to the pole, amount of oil needed, and adjusting the chain. It was also very difficult when using the pole as it was extremely top heavy.

PLN1510 chain saw
Saw is strong for its size. Chain has to be adjusted quite a bit. Overall, I am well satis fied

Outstanding for the price
This is the first time I have owned any type of chainsaw. It is compact and very easy to use. I finished up clearing away all the dead branches from the freeze we had earlier this year. The trees can grow once again with all the dead limbs gone.

Pole saw was everything I needed for my trees. I was impressed by the ease that a little saw could cut. The only recommendation I would have is to put a small bottle of chain oil in box to get started or state on box that you need to purchase oil. I was going to take product back because it was very annoying that nothing was stated but my neighbor had oil.

Chain Chain Chain
I have two regular electric chain saws and bought this one for cutting the high up stuff. I bought a spare chain when I bought the saw and the first thing I always do with a new saw is to replace the chain. I do this to learn how to change the chain so that when I am out using the saw and need to change the chain I know how to do it. The instruction book tells you how to do this, but it does not work the way the instructions tell you. I did manage to remove the chain, but some parts came off while doing this and they are not shown in the instruction book? I had to get on line to get an exploded parts diagram and had to look closely to find the part and where it went. It took me over 2 hours to educate myself and change the chain. Of all the saws I have owned, this one is the most difficult to change the chain on. A tip: put a piece of masking tape over the 2 bolts before removing the nuts on the bar when changing chains. If these bolts fall out, small parts go everywhere. Great saw otherwise.
