Outstanding for the price
This is the first time I have owned any type of chainsaw. It is compact and very easy to use. I finished up clearing away all the dead branches from the freeze we had earlier this year. The trees can grow once again with all the dead limbs gone.

Pole saw was everything I needed for my trees. I was impressed by the ease that a little saw could cut. The only recommendation I would have is to put a small bottle of chain oil in box to get started or state on box that you need to purchase oil. I was going to take product back because it was very annoying that nothing was stated but my neighbor had oil.

Chain Chain Chain
I have two regular electric chain saws and bought this one for cutting the high up stuff. I bought a spare chain when I bought the saw and the first thing I always do with a new saw is to replace the chain. I do this to learn how to change the chain so that when I am out using the saw and need to change the chain I know how to do it. The instruction book tells you how to do this, but it does not work the way the instructions tell you. I did manage to remove the chain, but some parts came off while doing this and they are not shown in the instruction book? I had to get on line to get an exploded parts diagram and had to look closely to find the part and where it went. It took me over 2 hours to educate myself and change the chain. Of all the saws I have owned, this one is the most difficult to change the chain on. A tip: put a piece of masking tape over the 2 bolts before removing the nuts on the bar when changing chains. If these bolts fall out, small parts go everywhere. Great saw otherwise.

I purchased this so I would have a saw that I could use. The extension was the main feature I was looking for. The saw being electic was also easy for me to start, NO pull cord. The only problem is being able to tighten the pole when fully extended, the saw will twist. My husband likes using my saw.

Great Little Chain Saw
The PLN 1510 is the closest model I could find to mine which is a 1625, S/N 216DO6214, 2.5 HP, 16 inch bar.
It is really a great saw! Great value. I did want to mention that while felling and cutting up a Texas live oak last week that it quit operating after only approx 20 hours since new. Disassembly revealed that the incoming power cord (the white wire) had come out of the switch. The "double-insulated" design prevented shorts and injuries. The wire was reinstalled, solidedly. The saw was cleaned, reassembled, and the chain was resharpened. And it works great. It is a GREAT SAW, EASY TO USE, AND HAS A VERY SAFE DESIGN!
It is unfortunate that the pictures of it would not load.

We had a heavy, wet snow recently and several small trees and many large Douglas Fir limbs fell on the property. I spent 6 hours just cutting up the debris for fire wood.
The saw worked flawlessly and had more than adequate power for the job. Most limbs were were 3-4 inches in diameter, but several were 8-10 inches in diameter, and the saw didn't miss a beat. During this whole time I only had to tighten the chain once, I was careful not to let the chain hit the ground, so i have not had to sharpen the chain yet,
The saw was on sale for $40.00, so I consider this one of the better bargain purchases I have made in quite a while.
There were two annoyances I encountered, though. One was that the chain oiler leaks when the saw is stored, so you have to be careful to place it in some container so that you don't see a mess when you go to use the saw again. The second annoyance was that the electrical line easily disengages from the power line unless you find a way to secure the saw's plug to the power line socket. I taped the two together and that worked fine, but I will try to come up with a better solution later. If it were not for these two minor problems I would have rated the saw a perfect 5.
I have only used the saw for 2 days, so I cannot comment on its durability, but its performance is outstanding,, and for the price it is a fantastic bargain. I recommend it without reservations for anyone who has small trimming and cutting projects within reach of an electrical outlet.

Did the job I need it to do, but when extending the pole can be a little awkward. When extending the pole it also can be a little heavy for the average person. Overall though did what it was made for which is getting to high branches. Also used to cut firewood, although had to adjust chain quite a few times.
