poulan weedeter my weedeater has been an incredibly frustrating tool. it has never run right. it has been to the mechanic twice, yesterday 2 hours with him, completely taken the carb apart and even accessed the adjusting screws, and it still won't run. it's going to Goodwill and I will never buy another Poulan product. Fed up with a Poulan Problem I have had this trimmer for a while now and it works well when it is running. So far so good but I hope it is not like my Poulan Chainsaw, and Poulan Blower witch require new gas lines every two or three years. I have had to religiously replace gas line on all of my Poulan products as they rot out and then they leak gas all over the garage floor. I spend a lot of time replacing gas lines but other than that Poulan makes some very nice equipment. If they would solve the gas line problem this would have been a five star review. August 23, 2013
correction to last year's review Last year I wrote a critical review of my new Poulan P1500 trimmer. The problem I thought was lack of power and frequent stalling. However, after reviewing the start up procedures, I was not doing them correctly. You have to hold the throttle in full for 10 seconds each as your go through the half choke then the run position. After correcting my mistake this year, my Poulan is running great. It has adequate power for home use and never stalls. I would buy another Poulan after using this P1500!. July 25, 2013
Poulan P1500 Sometimes the trimmer takes many pulls to get started. Don't know if it is flooding or what the problem is. And sometimes have to run the trimmer on half choke to keep it running. Other times it may start and run fine with no choke. This new trimmer really doesn't start and run much better than my ten year old Weed-eater Must say I am mostly not satisfied with my new Poulan P1500 trimmer.. June 26, 2013
Instruction manual warning! In the start-up instructions, it goes through the steps to start it up but only later does it say to never run it at "full speed" for more than 1 minute. Well, once I started it following the instructions, I started using it. I didn't know that it is recommended to not run at high speed for over 1 minute! Now it is not running very well upon the 2nd and 3rd use! They need to put the warning in there right after the start-up instructions. Not buried in text later. May 20, 2013
doesn't work I bought my d1500 last year. Biggest mistake I made. I had to replace a 13 year old homelite trimmer. That trimmer ran every time and worked for 13 years before I had to replace it. How do I return this thing!!! I gave it one star because I could give it zero May 14, 2013
This product won't run. The product price and weight are good features. After two months of operation, it will not run if you take it out of half choke and squeeze the trigger. It runs ok in half choke. The power is limited and stalls under heavy loads. The filter is clean and the gas mixture is correct. Will not buy another Poulan. April 19, 2013
The Best The best weed trimmer I ever bought. Would let all my family and friend know about this item and tell them to buy it too. February 5, 2013
