Poor Qualityand Unreliable Trimmer
On May 27, 2012, I purchased a Poulan Pro PP333 trimmer with a two year parts & labor warranty from a local hardware store. On June, 2013, it broke down and I could not get it started. On June 17, 2013, I brought the trimmer in to one of Poulan’s authorized service providers listed on their web site. On July 20, 2013, I picked up my trimmer and paid the service provider $80. The next time I used my trimmer, it broke down after re-filling the trimmer’s tank for the first time. On July 22, 2013, I brought the trimmer back to the service provider who said they would work with Poulan’s warranty department. On November 6, 2013, I got Poulan and the service provider talking with each other and told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the $80 service charge and for retail price of the trimmer. On November 18, 2013, I was advised by Poulan’s service provider that Poulan would not reimburse me for the $80 previously paid and that I would have to spend additional money to the service provider to have the trimmer examined for defects.
After five months, I feel compelled to write this review. Poulan’s trimmer is poor quality. I will never purchase another Poulan product.

Poor Product, at best
Bought this product for my wife. Found it to be hard to start. Once running it would bog down continually, even in short dry grass. The head would constantly feed line after only a few seconds, again causing the motor to bog down. Tried a new, improved head to no avail. Still bogs down.
Being a very experience DIY'er I tried to adjust the carburator. The carb cannot be adjusted without a special tool not available to DIY'ers.
Tried to contact local service shops. They do not want to deal with Poulan products for a variety of reasons.
Poor product and poor service availability.
Would have contacted customer service, but cannot find an email address.

The trimmer is multi-purpose.
When my old (10 to 12 years) Poulan Twist & Edge finally wore out, I wanted exactly the same model. After a thorough online search, the Poulan P3500 was my only choice.
Some of the consumer comments about 'hard starting' concerned me, but I've experienced no such issues. I suspect most of those users flooded the trimmer each time. On average, I push the primer bulb twice and then pull no more than 3 times @ full choke and then once or twice @ half-choke and it's ready to go.
I've only had it 2 months, so I only hope that this model is as durable as my last Poulan trimmer.

P3500 Good value
Perfect for general yard work. Easy start and ergonomic...not meant for continuous use such as daily landscaping but great value for the price

This unit performed its function in a rather inadequate durability. i had to take to the repair shop after one month of ownership and the warranty was inadequate as well. The warranty did not cover any of the repairs that took over 6 months at the only authorized repair facility in town.
